7:30pm, Wednesday 14th November 2012, Blackpool Central LibraryAn evening with Dave Kirkwood, founder of 3hundredand65, a graphic novel, created on Twitter, one day at a time in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust.Includes a Q&A, a chance to look through the project sketchbooks and fundraising auctions and competitions with prizes such as pieces of contemporary art and Wordpool goodies. There’s also a bakesale!
We have invited Dave to come and talk about his project which raises awareness and funds for the Teenage Cancer Trust. It’s a graphic novel that has been created on Twitter, one tweet (from a different collaborator) per day. Dave interprets the tweets and provides illustrations to accompany them. The project has started to attract a number of celebrities such as Stephen Fry, Bill Bailey, Jennifer Saunders, Irvine Welsh and Neil Gaiman to name but a few. All in all, it’s a great creative idea that is well executed and very inclusive. This is a free event.
More details on prizes to follow shortly. Tickets are free, but please register on Eventbrite.
