We’re pleased to be able to announce (after a little delay) the second evening of social media for the third sector by Aunty Social. After the success of the first Aunty Social Connected event which we ran back in June we’ve listed to your feedback and set a date for our second event.
Connected Part 2 will be taking place on Wednesday 27th July 2011 from 6pm to 8pm.
This time round we are going to be spending two hours solely on “social media surgery” time. For those of you who weren’t there last month, a social media surgery is when you get the opportunity to sit down in a small group with a social media surgeon and actually do things, whether it is setting up a twitter account or trying to work out how best to promote your organisation on Facebook. We’ve also changed the venue and will be using the Connexions Centre on Market Street, unfortunately as a result of this we have slightly less space so we’ve had to limit places to 20. We are on the look out for a more permenant home for future events so if you do know of anywhere please let us know, the requirements are that it needs to have disabled access, wifi and brew facilities – and we’d like to keep it in the town centre too.
There is also another thing we need – Social media surgeons! Last time round we had lots of help from people from out of town so this time we really need to find some people to help out on the night and sit down with organisations to give advice and information. If you’d like to get involved with that side of thing we’d love to hear from you so contact either @_AuntySocial_ or @TawdryMe on twitter or email firstname.lastname@example.org!
