Blackpool’s annual urban art festival Sand, Sea & Spray returned in July 2015 thanks to an exciting new partnership between its founder Robin Ross and Aunty Social.
Having secured funding from Arts Council England and Blackpool Council, we brought some of the worlds best urban artists to town for three days of live painting from Friday 10 to Sunday 12 July 2015. As usual the festival had a distinctly international flavour with artists from several countries. The UK was also well represented with artists including My Dog Sighs, Jay Sharples and Dale Grimshaw. Representing Blackpool’s homegrown talent Catch 22, Lowdown, Chris Fenn and Infected by Design showed their spectacular skills across the live paint days.
We were really excited to be part of bringing back Sand, Sea & Spray for 2015. Aunty Social is all about brightening Blackpool and giving people something to be cheerful about through arts and creativity.People were thrilled to have such a fantastic line up of international artists taking to the streets of the town once again.
