Check out our new project with Mint & Mamma and Betterstart Blackpool for children aged 0-4 years. We’re delivering art and craft packs to your doorstep alongside online tutorials:
We’ve created a series of craft kits to deliver to families, so that they can have their own art sessions in the comfort and safety of their own homes.
Each kit will contain:
All the materials needed to carry out the activity
Step by step instructions
A link to online video tutorials for those with a more visual learning style or those who may struggle with literacy.
We’re looking for 25 children to receive 1 pack a week over a 4 week period. There will be a mix of crafty activities, all of which are suitable for very young children. You’ll be invited to join a Facebook group so that you can chat to other parents, share your tiny person’s artwork and give us some feedback on the activities.
The packs (and delivery) are free, but places are limited so make sure that you sign up.
Join us for a lovely bit o’ curry and a convo at our last meet-up of 2019.
We’re going to have an around the table conversation about what you lovely arty folk are up to and what you’d like to see in Blackpool in 2020. Kind of a cultural wish-list!
We’re feeling festive, so this is a free open session. Anyone with an interest in the arts and culture in Blackpool will be warmly welcomed.
If you’re feeling crafty, you can also make a Christmas decoration to take home or you can bring your own art/craft project to get on with while we chat.
All food will be vegan, hot drinks and squash provided.
***Please respond to our Facebook event with ‘going’ to let us know if you are definitely coming, if you’re not sure, just choose ‘interested’ or you can email us …we don’t want to be left with a tonne of leftovers, ta!***
Postcards from the Past is a short, original piece of drama that explores 1950s seaside holidays in Blackpool. Take a trip down memory lane in this enjoyable family piece.
Drop-in-Drama has been running for the last 22-weeks as a regular opportunity for adults to come together with like-minded people and have fun – learning new skills, trying out different performance techniques and mostly having a chance to play!
The whole family can join in on a visual treasure hunt to identify hidden elements located around the pier. You’ll learn some fascinating historic facts about the pier too. We’ll use photography to take a look at colours, architectural elements, perspectives and hidden stories.
Come and listen to Violet’s amazing and astounding Wish you were Here – Seaside Stories. Hear about the magic sandcastle that grew and grew, the musical seashell that could transport you to a land of adventure, and the buried treasure that turned up on a crowded beach! Make sure you join Violet for storytelling sessions throughout the day.
All activities are FREE FOR KIDS (must be accompanied by an adult)
There will also be a Best Dressed Competition with Fab prizes for the best 3 vintage-style outfits. Sign up on the day from 1pm, prizes awarded at 2pm.
