Charabanc Volunteers
Seeking volunteers for our shop – bringing products from local artists and makers to the high street.
Charabanc is located at 1 Olympia Buildings Coronation Street, Blackpool, FY1 4NY and sells items made by local designers, artists and makers. Commission from sales pays for the upkeep of the shop and helps to subsidise other low cost arts activities and projects such as young people’s art workshops and film screenings.
We have plenty of volunteering opportunities available as we want to increase our opening hours.
You’ll receive appropriate training and we’re pleased to offer our volunteers a financial contribution to lunch and transport, so there’s no need to be out of pocket when you’re helping us out!
For more information on becoming a volunteer please complete this online form.

Sand, Sea and Spray 2015: Volunteers
About the festival
The Sand, Sea & Spray Urban Art Festival is an event which brings leading street artists to Blackpool to paint in the town. This will allow visitors and the local community a chance to experience and engage with the creative process of these artists first-hand and we hope it will also help to regenerate of parts of the town.
This Year’s Plans
International street artists are coming to Blackpool to paint live on the streets between Friday 10 and Sunday 12 July. They will work from a number of sites in and around the town centre. As well as giving people the chance to see great art created on their doorstep, the festival also includes:
· An artists’ Question and Answer session at the Winter Gardens
· An information point with maps and artist factsheets; a shop selling work by featured artists
· A series of school and community based workshops to build audiences and increase engagement.
