It’s a chance to come together\, share stories and mee t other people from Blackpool’s Black community.\n\nAll ages are welcome to join in these free arts and crafts activities. Drinks and snacks will also be provided.\n\n \;\n\nPlease see the schedule below for more in formation on each event.\n\n 13/07 - Exploring our identity: using creati vity for self-expression and affirming our identity.\n 20/07 - Our divers e cultures: Taking a closer look at the rich mix of cultures in Blackpool. \n 10/08 - Exploring your family history: Investigating and sharing our f amily histories.\n 24/08 - Our local Black community: Getting to know loc al people and places through art.\n 07/09 - Celebrating African creativit y: Learn about African artists/art techniques and have a go!\n 05/10 - Ce lebrating Caribbean culture: Getting creative Caribbean style!\n 19/10 - Togetherness and the Black Diaspora: Creating art that connects us through our shared history.\n\n \;\nTime\nAll sessions will run from 11am-4pm on a ‘drop-in’ basis\, that means you can join us at any time from 11 am and stay for as long as you like.\n \;\nWhat we’re doing\nWe’ll use a mix of art techniques including drawing\, painting\, collage and mo del-making to explore our themes. All accompanied by great tunes and conve rsation.\nDo I need to bring anything?\nWe’ll provide all art materials and refreshments.
