DESCRIPTION:\n\n\nCome and join local Living History enthusiast Heather as 
 she brings to life crafts from the Northwest's Heritage. Demonstrating the
  slowly vanishing skills that went into producing our clothing using natur
 al materials.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nInspired by Heritage Crafts Red List\, we’re
  focusing on endangered crafts. To see the full list of crafts please vis
 it our website\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n\n\nThis month's session focuses on Drop Spin
 dle and Nålbinding\n\nStatus: Endangered\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nIn this session we
  will be introducing more Heritage Crafts that are endangered in the UK. W
 e’ll work with wool\, transforming it from fleece to fibre using the dro
 p spindle. You’ll learn how to spin a length of yarn using one of the mo
 st ancient textile tools.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nOnce you have your thread\, where 
 now?\n\nHeather will introduce you to one of the oldest techniques for gar
 ment making\, Nålbinding. Referred to as working with the wool in Icela
 ndic\, all you need is your fibre and a needle for the ultimate carry craf
