DESCRIPTION:\n\n\nCome and join local Living History enthusiast Heather as 
 she brings to life crafts from the Northwest's Heritage. Demonstrating the
  slowly vanishing skills that went into producing our clothing using natur
 al materials.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nInspired by Heritage Crafts Red List\, we’re
  focusing on endangered crafts. To see the full list of crafts please vis
 it our website\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nThis month's session focuses on Lace Making\n
 \nStatus: Endangered\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nNew for November. Once a major fashion 
 item\, lace can be used to decorate many garments\, accessories and furnis
 hings.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nThere are different types of lacemaking from the exot
 ic reticella\, Ruskin style\, needle lace and the more familiar bobbin lac
 e or pillow lace.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nIn this session\, you will learn the basic
  techniques to get you started with this timeless classic.  Drawing from 
 her own experience and historical research\, Heather will introduce beginn
 ers to the art of lacemaking using a rough thread to outline a basic autum
 nal design.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nThis workshop was suggested by Kilgrimol Crafts
