 pm at Aunty Social\, Topping Street.\n\n\n\nAs part of our programme suppo
 rted by Photoworks Photography\, lecturer Richard Oughton https://www.ri
 chardoughton.co.uk/ will be joining us.\n\nA Blackpool based photographer
 .\n\nIf asked where you would find him it would be on the edge of the danc
 e floor in the shadows. An unawareness of the camera enabling him to captu
 re that decisive moment.\n\nIt’s almost two decades now since he picked 
 up a camera and it’s been an amazing journey. Focusing on underground Br
 itish subcultures including Northern Soul\, Mod\, Ska and Skinhead with th
 eir pathognomonic aesthetic and rituals\, he explores the exceptional dyna
 mic between people and their all-consuming passion be it music\, scooters 
 or fashion.\n\nAlso of integral importance to his work\, is to narrate the
  importance of both individual identity and a collective sense of camarade
 rie that underpins these cultural movements.\n\nHis photographic look and 
 style is about capturing and creating a unique and atmospheric look to evo
 ke the senses this also resonates within his portraiture and commissioned 
 pieces. His style may not be to everyone’s liking but\, if you’ve read
