Limber up for our interacti ve stunt workshops led by an experienced stunt performer\, KA-POW!\n\n\nEv er wondered how film makers make their fights just so realistic?\nOr how s tunt people manage to get up time and time again after taking brutal looki ng falls?\nThen this is the workshop for you.\nFilm and stage combat is fu n. It is a non competitive\, incredibly safe and sociable physical activit y. This workshop encourages people to work together in teams\, building tr ust and leadership skills\, as well as communication and creative thinking .\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nInspired by the upcoming screening of Polite Society at Blackpool Film Festival\, you will learn all the most fun and gory techniques such as safe kicks to the groin\, eye gouges\, strangles a nd good old fashioned upper cuts. All f acilitators have current DBS checks.\n The session is for those who are i nterested in stunt work and want to learn more about the profession. It wi ll be of particular interest to those with a background in dance\, circus and performing arts\, but experience in this area isn't necessary.\n\nWhy is it for women and non-binary people?\nThere is currently an under-repres entation of women and non-binary people working in action film.
