DESCRIPTION:Blackpool Social Club and Queer Amusements present a night of w
 eird and wonderful spoken word with Jane Claire Bradley + special guests.\
 n\n\n\nSummer's coming to an end\; darkness is drawing in.\n\nAutumn Equin
 ox is one of only two moments each year when day and night are equal lengt
 h\; a moment when light and dark are in equal balance. But we don't believ
 e in binaries\, so we're embracing all the shady liminal places between li
 ght and dark with a night of weird and wonderful spoken word and performan
 ce from our writer-in-residence Jane Claire Bradley and some very special 
 guests.\n\nDebuting in-progress material developed during her Queer Amusem
 ents residency\, The Dead\, The Divine and The Diabolical explores themes 
 of finding home and family\; untangling bloodlines and ancestral lineage\;
  and witchcraft\, worship and what it means to be both divine and diabolic
 al in places like Blackpool and beyond.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets\n\nGeneral Ad

  and run late bar and live music venue located in Blackpool town centre. T
 hey opened their doors in Decemeber 2014 with the aim of being an alternat
 ive music venue\, nightspot and creative space for the local residents and
  like-minded visitors to the area.\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout the Artist\nJane Clair
 e Bradley is an award-winning queer\, working-class writer\, performer\, 
 therapist and educator. She is the author of a fiction chapbook\, Truth o
 r Dare (2021)\, a novel\, Dear Neighbour (2023)\, and the forthcoming c
 hapbook Lost + Found (2024). She has been published in a long list of an
 thologies\, essay collections and literary journals\, and is the winner of
  a Northern Debut Award from New Writing North. Jane is currently writer-i
 n-residence with Blackpool Social Club and Queer Amusements.\n\nJane has i
 nvited guest artists to collaborate on the event\, more details about who

 d.\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout Us\nBlackpool Social Club\n\nBlackpool Social Club is 
 a not for profit digital magazine dedicated to finding the best of Blackpo
 ol and The Fylde Coast’s vibrant and blooming creative scene. Since 2012
  they have published over 1900 articles\, boasted a team of over 20 contri
 butors\, been nominated for several awards and made it their mission to fi
 nd aspiring writers\, photographers and filmmakers. They are the home of c
 reativity and culture on the Fylde Coast.\n\nQueer Amusements \n\nQueer A
 musements is a new queer multi-artform festival taking place in Blackpool 
 from February to September 2024. Showcasing art\, performance\, events and
  workshops across the mediums of film\, literature\, visual and performanc
 e art\, craft\, dance and drag. Commissioned by Marlborough Productions as
  part of New Queers on the Block\, Aunty Social and supported using public
