Join photographer Henry Iddon at Stanley Park for a Great Big Green Week nature photography walk.

About this event

Henry will guide you around the park and help you to improve your photography technique, giving you the skills to capture great photographs of the natural world on our doorstep.

You’ll get advice on photography technique, and will have the opportunity to ask questions. We’ll also stop for a brew in the café and review the photos you take.

You can also contribute your images taken during the workshop to an online photo gallery on Blackpool’s arts and culture magazine Blackpool Social Club.

Age restrictions: Suitable for all ages and abilities. Under-16s should be accompanied by an adult. All you need is a camera or your camera phone.

What do I need?
Equipment: Please bring your own camera or device. You can use a camera phone. Please note that we’ll only be able to review images taken on a digital camera or camera phone.
Footwear: We’ll be exploring the park, so comfortable shoes are a must. We advise bringing a waterproof just in case the weather is miserable.
Spending money: We will provide a regular tea, coffee or soft drink at Stanley Park café follwing the walk. Please bring money if you’d like to buy a fancier drink or food.
Weather: We plan to go ahead, even if the weather isn’t too good. However in the case of unworkable conditions we will postpone the event. We will ask you for a mobile phone number on registration so that we can send you a confirmation SMS text on the morning of the workshop.
