Art Rocks – Blackpool School ofArts Retail Takeover

Students from Blackpool School of Arts are taking over Aunty Social for two days!

During this two day take over students from the BA (Hons) Commercial Illustration, Fine Art, Graphic Design and Fashion will be showcasing and selling products, prints and all sorts of exciting goods designed and made by them. This is a unique opportunity to meet the next wave of local makers, designers and artists!

The Students will also be holding workshops across the two days, delivered by the Commercial Illustration and the Fashion students covering everything from pour paint canvases to learning cross stitch. (further details below)
So pop along to Aunty Social and speak to some of the best new talent in the North West, learn a new arty skill, see some exciting new products and support your local artists.

Workshop Details:

Crowns and Flags
Thursday 11th May 1.00pm to 1.45pm
A crafty workshop suitable for all ages to enjoy. You will create your very own bejewelled crown and colourful flag.

‘Get Cross with Fast Fashion’
Friday 12th May 10.30am – 12.00pm
A seminar workshop focusing on the impact of fast fashion on our lives. The fashion students will lead the workshop, using cross stitch to create a textile protest.
This workshop is open to all abilities. No sewing experience required.

Pour Paint Workshop
Friday 12th May 1.30pm – 3.00pm
A fun, messy workshop using pouring techniques with canvas to create your very own bright and colourful masterpiece.
