Heritage Open Day: Reclaim Blackpool Women

Join Showtown Blackpool & Reclaim BLackpool for a special Heritage Open Day.

BRAND NEW for this year, join us as we discuss the lives of some of Blackpool’s most inspirational women. This FREE event is taking place on Saturday 16th September between 11am – 1pm at Aunty Social on Topping Street.

The event is inspired by Reclaim Blackpool’s efforts to share women’s untold stories. Showtown have been busy delving into the archives to find stories of local women in history who did amazing things but who have been sadly overlooked or forgotten. During this event we will explore the hidden histories of some of these inspirational Blackpool Women.

It’s not just women in show business we’re interested in! We want to hear about the everyday achievements of women from Blackpool’s past. At the end of our discussion, we’ll invite the group to spend time remembering women that have been influential to them.
