Support Blackpool Film Festival’s Crowdfunder

The BFF team are busy behind the scenes working to make this year’s Blackpool Film Festival the best yet, but to do that, they need your help.

BFF are looking to raise £1000 by the end of September to help fund competition prizes, hire equipment, and support our volunteers.

Competition

2024 sees the return of their Short Film Competition, a special event showcasing the work of upcoming and established filmmakers from all across the globe. In order to help support and encourage these filmmakers to continue with their craft, BFF wants to offer a cash award of £300 to the winning filmmaker, to help fund their future projects and grow their career opportunities.

Equipment

While the main location for their film screenings will take place in the Backlot Cinema, BFF also plans on holding pop up screenings in other smaller venues across town. Hiring extra equipment such as projectors and screens will help avoid cancelling events if there are any technical mishaps.

Volunteers

Blackpool Film Festival is run by a dedicated team of volunteers, who assist with a variety of festival activities including administration work, specialist programming and Front of House hosting. BFF could not run if it wasn’t for their wonderful volunteers, many of whom return year after year to lend their skills and enthusiasm to make their events run as smoothly as possible. With the amount of time and energy their volunteers give to help deliver the festival events, your donations will help provide food and refreshments for everyone across the weekend.

How can you help?

BFF have set up a Crowdfunder which you can donate to to help them reach their goal! There are some exciting rewards up for grabs, including tickets to the Short Film Competition screenings and exclusive BFF prints, which you can earn by donating.
