Join us for a practical dive into the art of lighting with James McAllister.
During this social you’ll hear about, and see, the core principles of shaping and controlling light. James will demonstrate how to manipulate various sources and modifiers to achieve the look you want. You’ll also learn how to deconstruct existing images – giving you the skills to reverse-engineer any lighting style and adapt it to your own images.The session is hands-on, so you’ll have time to experiment with these techniques yourself.
About the Speaker
James McAllister is a former British Army Photographer now based in Blackpool. He runs a video production social enterprise which supports independent filmmaking in the local area. Analogue photography is now one of his creative escapes, and he can often be found under red light in the Darkroom.
