Aunty Social is looking for an administrator to support our day to day activities.

This is an ideal role for someone with good organisation skills starting out in arts administration, it is especially suited to those who would like to lead or plan community art projects in the future.
 
You’ll carry out a variety of admin and venue-related activities from August 2024, supporting our growing community arts organisation.
 
You’ll be communicating with a variety of people and will most likely be the first person that our visitors, customers and volunteers will have contact with over email and social media. So it’s important that you are personable and able to adapt your communication style to suit. Providing a warm welcome and friendly introduction to our organisation is central to what we do and a key part of our values. Please make sure that you read about them so that you have a good idea of who we are.
 
This role is primarily based at our Blackpool town centre venue:
  • an independent shop that specialises in artworks, homeware and gift products made by artists and makers based in the North West.
  • Workshop spaces for art, craft, heritage and community activities.
  • Blackpool Community Darkroom – for film photographers.

⭐️Hourly Rate £13, PAYE, paid monthly
⭐️Weekly Hours 7.5 hours
⭐️Contract Length – 27 weeks from Weds 7 February to Weds 7 August 2024

Administrator

  • Expected time commitment: 
    • 1 day per week (7.5 hours) on Wednesdays, with some flexibility.
    • 27 weeks, between 7 February 2024 and end on 7 August 2024. 
    • Includes 30 min lunch break
  • Pay
    • £13.00 per hour
    • PAYE, paid monthly
  • Location
    • Working from Aunty Social, 28 Topping St, Blackpool
    • Some working from home – when not needed at the premises.

Duties

  • Coordination of room hires
  • Oversee public email inboxes
  • Production of marketing assets
  • Staffing the building and setting up rooms for Wednesday hires
  • Manages own workload with guidance from Aunty Social director
