Title: The Hollow Light by Lindsay Bennett-Thompson
In a sealed, crumbling house after society has collapsed, a pregnant woman and a man – strangers bound only by necessity – are forced to confront the outside world when their last survival tool fails. But what awaits beyond the boarded windows is not salvation, but something far more terrifying and unknowable.

- Experienced and confident in delivering nuanced, expressive screen performance
- Able to express emotion physically as well as verbally
- Comfortable on camera and patient with our young crew.
Plans for the film
This film is part of BFI Film Academy Blackpool, a course that teaches young people aged 16-19 years about filmmaking and working in the film industry. Young people will take on crew and production roles, and will be guided by industry professionals. A youth worker will be present on all days. The film will be presented at student showcase events in February and March 2026.
