
3D Printing for beginners: An introduction to 3D Design

Want to make your own things with a 3D printer but don’t know where to start? Then this is the session for you.
What?
This 2 hour workshop includes:
- An overview of the 3D printing process: from design to print
- How a 3D printer works – which bits do what
- An introduction to several free Computer Aided Design packages and how to use them
- Tips & tricks to help you bring your designs to life
No previous experience is necessary, you don’t even need your own 3D printer.
Who is this for?
Anyone who would like to learn about 3D printing – Beginners, crafters, tinkers and the curious are warmly welcomed.
What do I need to bring?
- You’ll need to bring a wifi enabled laptop to take part in this session.
- We have a limited number of laptops available for use in this workshop. If you need to use one of these, please select the relevant ticket.
We will provide all tuition, 3D printing kit and refreshments.
