Come on down and find out about our volunteering opportunities.

This evening provides an opportunity to find out more about Aunty Social and the volunteering opportunities you can get involved in.

It also gives us a chance to get to know more about YOU and the super skills you can offer. There are a range of opportunities from creating social media content to helping out at workshops or in the shop.
We would also like to consult with you on the best ways to remain in contact and put out call-outs for help.
Hot and cold drinks provided.

When you arrive

Come in through the shop (Topping Street) entrance.
We will be meeting in the upstairs workshop space and we’ll give an update on where we’re up to and our plans for the future.
You’ll get to see our main workshop, along with the progress on the community darkroom, and our ground floor workshop. There will also be an opportunity to purchase products from the shop at the end of the evening.

Important info: Please note that this session is upstairs. It’s a single flight of 14 steps then you go around the corner and there are two small steps. Once you’re upstairs there’s a loo. You shouldn’t need to come downstairs for anything until the end of the event.
We’re in the process of having a lift installed so the space will be accessible by late Spring/Summer.
If the stairs are an issue, please contact us (using the ‘contact organiser’ button) and we can make alternative arrangements.

• Tram to North Pier
• Train: Blackpool North Station is located on Talbot Rd and is a 5 minute walk away.
• Bus:
  -No 3, 4, 6 or 18 bus to Topping St.
  -No 2, 2C, 12 to Church St (Stanley Buildings)
  -5, 7, 9, 14 to Talbot Rd
• Driving: The closest pay and display car parks are
  – East Topping St FY1 3AS: Open 24 hours, No height restrictions. No longer any Blue Badge bays available at this site but Blue Badge holders receive a 3 hour free concession in a standard Pay and Display bay on Topping St and Edward St.
  – Talbot Road multi storey FY1 3AU: Open Monday to Sunday – 7.00am to 12 midnight. Height restriction 2 m (6’6″). 6 x 22kW electric charging bays. 38 Blue badge parking bays are available – but no free parking concession.
  -There is also parking at the nearby Sainsbury’s supermarket, please make sure that you check the terms before you use the car park.
