Learn how to develop your film with the help of our practitioners.

Join Blackpool Community Darkroom Collective to learn the basics of black and white film development in a friendly and welcoming environment of Blackpool Community Darkroom.

In a small group, our practitioners will guide you step by step through processing black and white film.
You will be taught how to load your film on to a spool in a dark bag, the importance of temperature and the mechanics and timings of chemical agitation.
With a focus on developing darkroom confidence and skills, you will leave the workshop with the knowledge of basic black and white film processing.

  • You will need to bring a black and white film that you have shot previously.
  • We will supply the chemicals, equipment and PPE required to develop the film, plus a negative sleeve for you to take home.
