Blackpool Social Club team workshop: Using press releases + review writing
Press releases are a great way of finding stories but what’s important to a PR might not be what’s important to a Blackpool Social Club reader.
In the first half of this workshop we’ll discuss the relationship between journalists and PRs and learn how to craft a story based on press releases. In the second half we’ll work on reviewing techniques – learning a few simple rules that you can apply to everything from your breakfast to books and the ballet.
This session is hosted by journalist and Blackpool Social Club editor Antonia Charlesworth Stack. During the session you’ll have chance to catch up with other Blackpool Social Club contributors and take part in an editorial meeting – setting the agenda for what we’re going to cover over the next month on BSC.
