Blackpool Social Club team workshop: WordPress masterclass
Beautifully crafted stories won’t get readers unless they’re well presented! In this session you’ll learn how to upload your stories onto the BSC website by using a few simple tools and our house style.
We’ll discuss how to write headlines, standfirsts, photo captions and pull quotes and find out how to source and edit the best images to illustrate your stories. We’ll learn a few simple optimisation techniques and if you haven’t got one already you’ll set up your Blackpool Social Club profile on WordPress, writing a short bio and uploading your mugshot.
This session is co-hosted by journalist and Blackpool Social Club editor Antonia Charlesworth Stack and web designer Stephen Skelly. During the session you’ll have chance to catch up with other Blackpool Social Club contributors and take part in an editorial meeting – setting the agenda for what we’re going to cover over the next month on BSC.
