Drop in for some relaxed crafting with Knittaz With Attitude and textile artist Norma Foulds.

We’ll discuss climate issues that affect us locally and use textile scraps to make leaves with stitched messages. We’ll send them to our Councillors and MPs with letters highlighting our concerns and urging them to act.

You’ll also be able to make a handy up-cycled pan scrubber to take home and use. Norma will guide you as we give textile and packaging scraps a brand new use.

We have:

  • Hand-sewing/embroidery kit
  • Fabric & thread
  • Wool, knitting needles and crochet hooks
  • Haberdashery and embellishments
If you want to use your own kit or fabric, then feel free to bring that along too.
  • Sewing machines
  • Writing materials

Where’s the venue? We’re holding this workshop at our new venue: 28 Topping Street. Blackpool FY1 3AQ. It’s next door to Bootleg Social.
We’ll be temporarily ‘popping up’ in the ground floor shop area for Great Big Green Week. Please note that the full space will not be open as we still have building work to do. We’ll have illustrations of the rest of the building available for you to look at on the day, so feel free to ask us about our plans.

What does it cost? This is a free event

Do I need to book? No, you can just drop in.

Anything else?

  • We’ll provide the brews and biscuits.
  • Drop-in anytime between 1pm and 3:30pm, no tickets required
  • This is a family friendly event
  • You don’t need any experience of sewing.
