Join Joe for a relaxed sewing workshop where we decorate hot water bottle covers with a variety of embroidery stitches and fancy trims.

Personalise a hot water bottle to take home with this fun beginners workshop designed to introduce you to hand embroidery and customisation techniques.

On this workshop you will be given the opportunity to learn basic hand embroidery skills and fabric techniques, such as applique, patchwork, embroidery and hand sewing, and use your newly acquired skills to design a personalised hot water bottle cover!

This workshop is designed for beginners to sewing, and those looking to learn new sewing techniques.

Frequently asked questions

• Do I need to know how to sew?
  No this is a beginners activity. We will work as though this is everyone’s first time sewing. If you do have some sewing experience, you are more than welcome to attend, but we ask you to be patient with the group members who are new to it
• Can I take home what I make?
  Yes, you will be able to take your hot water bottle and cover home to use.
• How much does it cost to attend?
  This session is free. It has been supported by Blackpool Council to help with the rising Cost of Living. If you book tickets and are no longer able to attend, please let us know as we think that these sessions will be very popular.
• Is there a suggested age for this workshop?
  This session is suitable for people over 10 years of age. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult chaperone. If the chaperone would like to take part in the activity, they need to book their own ticket to make sure that we have enough supplies and equipment.
• What time do I need to arrive?
  Please arrive 5-10mins before the session start time.

• Driving: The closest pay and display car parks are on East Topping St and Talbot Road multi storey. There is also parking at the nearby Sainsbury’s supermarket, please make sure that you check the terms before you use the car park.
