Place-inspired poetry workshop

Join local writer Linda Hampton for a relaxed poetry writing workshop
In this place-inspired poetry writing workshop, you are invited to explore what Blackpool means to you.
What do you love about the area?
What does Blackpool represent?
Using memories, history of the town, as well as inspiration from the iconic venues and buildings (and some less well known) in the town, participants will have the opportunity to get out and about looking at the buildings and places in the Blackpool Heritage Action Zone Area, then take some time to plan and write their own piece of poetry.
There will be an opportunity to share your work with the other participants (although there is no pressure to do this), and to reflect on the process.
Stroll around the HAZ: participants will be invited to take a short stroll around the Blackpool Heritage Action Zone. Please bring waterproofs in case of wet weather. If weather is very poor, images/photos and other visual inspiration will be provided for writers to discuss and use to develop ideas.
Displaying your work: With your permission, your work may be printed up and displayed around the area of the Aunty Social venue or possibly in shop windows in the HAZ area.
This workshop is best suited to:
-Adults
-Beginners through to more experienced writers.
