Reclaim SLAG workshops

Join the Skate Like A Girl (SLAG) collective and Reclaim Blackpool at Aunty Social in craftivist and grip tape art workshops.
Head on down before the fundraising event at Bootleg Social next door (7pm-late).
Blackpool-based activist groups Reclaim Blackpool and Skate Like A Girl are coming together in for a night of live music to fundraise for projects that hold space for women and girls in Blackpool – see below for info.
Ahead of the event at Bootleg Social, Aunty Social next door is hosting three art and craft workshops over two hours:
- SLAG’s grip tape workshop – the female skate collective will guide you as decorate boards. Bring your own or use one provided.
- Aunty Social’s craftivist workshop – Aunty will guide you in making your own felt heart embroidered with a word of power about how you want to feel on the streets for you to take away and wear on your sleeve.
- Grumpy Girl’s jewellery workshop – Becky Davies, aka Grumpy Girl Graphics, will help you create colourful beaded jewellery with slogans or words of power.
Take part in one or all of the workshops across the two hours before heading next door to Bootleg for the main fundraising event.
Workshop places are free but limited and booking is essential.
